About me
A native New Yorker raised in Queens, LP is a Black, Caribbean, and Queer founder who spent over a decade in HR and People Operations. Her career is defined by building equitable systems and protecting people within complex organizations. She founded Houstory to eliminate the Zero Data Decision—the systemic failure where renters hand over their life savings for a lease based on a five-minute tour and zero verified data.LP intentionally applies her professional expertise in due diligence to the rental market. She leads Houstory in aggregating Open Data—including HPD violations, litigation history, and health hazards—and overlays it with verified reviews and Houstories from previous tenants and community members. LP relies on Transparency as market infrastructure to ensure housing data remains a right rather than a luxury. What should people talk to LP about?Talk to LP about how Houstory leverages open data and a people-first philosophy to empower renters to advocate for their own safety and security. She is eager to discuss how she uses data and authenticity to lead others and her strategies for building teams that prioritize human needs through evidence-based decision making.
