About me
Josefina Núñez Sahr is a researcher focused on public health, policy, and health equity. Her work combines quantitative and qualitative methods to examine how social and structural factors shape health outcomes, including vaccine decision-making, migrant health, and the impacts of climate and environmental conditions on communities. She has been working with New York City Open Data to explore how publicly available datasets can be used to better understand urban health challenges, including analyzing patterns in 311 heat-related complaints to study how extreme heat affects different neighborhoods. Her research emphasizes using data to inform more equitable public health policies and responses.
